Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are!

This is a shout out to all lurkers - if you are out there. See, even though I don't write this blog for profit or fame ( ha - yea right! ) I would like to foster a bit of camaraderie around here. So every once in a while I look at my number of followers, or the number of ' likers ' on Facebook, and I wonder why the ratio of followers to commenters is so different. So, lurker type people, this is what I want from you:

That's right - show yourselves! Whilst I'm busy trying to survive my first day back at work, I want you to leave me a comment. Tell me about yourself - who you are, what you do. Tell me how you got here - how did you find my blog? Tell me your favourite colour, favourite food, favourite song.... I don't mind, just leave me some comments that will put a smile on my face after a day of learning a new computer system and trying to remember everything I ever knew about my job.

Go people go - de-lurk!

  1. Hi Amy, not really a lurker, but I feel like i have become one since I stopped blogging. I still love reading your blog and it is one of the first I check when I log onto google reader! I hope your return to work goes well! That will be me in a couple of weeks too.

  3. It's strange isn't it, how we can have so many followers but only a core group of people that actually comment. I think part of the problem is there are so many blogs these days its hard to make sure that people see when you've updated. I can post about a new blog post multiple times across facebook and twitter and people still don't see it if they don't happen to be looking at that exact moment and I don't know how to combat that. It's tricky!
